I'm curious how many independent churches don't show up in this list. Florida is covered with them, and Orlando has more church/religious billboards than I've seen in other major cities I've been to. And we also have these all over the state like litter.

I think we have to seriously reconsider how we do housing in this country. Uncle Sam offers generous tax breaks to homebuyers: which at lot of people these days are flipping them to rentals and other buyers. Concurrantly, state and local entities rely heavily on property taxes (except here in FL: Tea Party has been pushing the state to override counties on what they can collect; "starve the beast" made real). Also add in the flexible economy: $14-16/hr job today can be a $9/hr one in another state tomorrow. How does private home ownership, or functioning states, survive like this???
