August Anthem - My Brief Time As an Astronaut [free alternative/indie album, courtesy of me!] by PainfullyAwkwardin freebies

[–]smashedit 0 points1 point ago

I definitely feel some old school Brand New, Taking Back Sunday(minus the poppy-elements though the vocals in "Leafblower" may make that distinction a bit gray) with your guys own spin. Your uniqueness shows in "Montage" the most.

Recommendations from someone who can't sing or play music despite how much I wish I could: Many of your songs like "Jetpack Future" and "Pax Romana" have VERY catchy drums and especially guitar in pax but your playing them way above the vocals. It feels like 85% of the attention is on the drums, maybe through volume? Other than that there were a few songs I wish the main vocalists voice wasn't backed up by the other singer as the timing was slightly off and distracted from what otherwise was an album that can only be described as layered cake of core alternative tracks lined with interesting tastes you can't quite pin point but you know you enjoy the flavor of. The song "My Brief Time As an Astronaut" is the candle atop the frosting.

It was very open in the literature log on would be required and a continuation in a series does not mean any or all of the components must be the same.

Am I ignorant in that I find it completley useless to study religious text in order to debate the fallacies of it all? by smasheditin atheism

This is the kind of thinking that made me want to post this. Thanks.

Ah, I see where you got confused, my apologies.

Basically I get this vibe from the screencaps that the athesits debating with the so-called "Christians" know the religion in very great detail, past the point of even most of the Christians they are argueing with. I am wondering why someone who does not believe in even the general premise of religion as a whole would then get into subdetails such as a timeline occurance of when fictional events took place, which character said what, and what it means in multiple translations. I think it is a bit overkill.

TIL that a woman with a PhD in math won the scratch lottery four times by figuring out the algorithm of the ticket production. by _Odi_in todayilearned

No where in the article does it say any of this is true. You just cited an article where a guy basically says "I saw she had a math degree...must be genius who solved lottery algorithm." and then goes on about how he has tried talking the lottery agency unsuccessfully. Come on now.

Lol ok bud :P

I thought you were considering actually making a scaleable venture out of this. Sure small-scale ebay sellers and random shops at the flea market can pull this. However, try to pull this at the local mall and I give it 2-3 months tops before a Nike rep alerts their legal team.

I wish you the best, however.
