good for you hammer is really neat, but also really annoying.

No, it's not an entity you need to make a brush where you want your rain to fall and texture it with the "trigger" texture. after that select the brush and press ctrl-T and apply the "func_percipitation" effect to it.

There's one thing that makes the process HORRIBLE though, and it's the reason no official maps have rain. The rain isn't "smart" so to speak, you can't just cover your entire map and have good rain. if you do that the rain will fall in buildings and such. So you have to make smaller individual brushes around your buildings. It doesn't need to be exact though. so don't be afraid to have some gaps without rain (no one will notice), just do your best.

It doesn't work like that sorry. I make maps constantly and it's impossible to add rain via a server plugin. You'd have to add precipitation brushes in hammer, and there's no way around it.

But if you added precipitation brushes to the map you want you could probably turn it on and off with a plugin.

This is a terrible response. You don't need the government to mandate new types of energy, that will happen on it's own eventually. But at the moment if the republicans have a plan to bring gas down to $2 and increase drilling that's better than sitting here and wallowing as the prices skyrocket.

It's tantamount to being called "stupid" and having your only comeback be "well your slightly less stupid! HA!" and expecting that to work. It doesn't.

just being a Devils advocate, the US was all about isolationism & neutrality after the revolution so other countries wouldn't mess with us.
