The last year of my first (and only) enlistment in the Marines, I was assigned to desk duty, as some infantrymen are, during their final 8+ months in because we become non-deployable. My assignment was to our legal admin department. I was a Corporal at the time, holding a billet much higher than I should have been holding. My job was to basically work hand in hand with our Lieutenant, doing all the legal paperwork as well as researching military law, communicating with Commanders, helping Marines prep for courts-martial, and things like that.

We had a guy go UA (AWOL), which was not uncommon a thing at all. Legally, the first 30 days they disappear don't really count. If they disappear and come back in the first 30 days, they really only get a slap on the wrist (demotion, pay cut). After the 30, it's a different story, and the punishment is more severe. Well this guy, let's call him PFC Douchechill, doesn't show up to formation one morning, and it is reported to me. This is the second time that this PFC has disappeared, the first time was for 29 days (just under the limit, and created a mountain of work for me). So i'm thinking, "here we go again".

Several days later, we are contacted by the local police department, which almost never happens. My Lt. routes the call to my desk, and I field it. "Hello, this is Officer So-and-So from XPD, we have PFC Douchechill in our possesion and need to make arrangements to drop him off, and we need to talk". Weird.

Later that day, the police show up with PFC Douchechill, looking quite haggard. He is not in cuffs or anything, which I found to be a little strange. He is also half naked, which I found even more strange. We go into a separate room with the Officer. He tells us he found PFC on the side of the road after receiving several calls from motorists. He was in just his underwear, bound and gagged. Hands tied behind his back, feet together, kind of squirming. Upon the officer's arrival, he noted several things, the primary thing being that when he went to untie the restraints, he thought they felt loose enough that PFC could have quite easily gotten his hands out of them.

Weird, but ok. Officer Whatever is out the door, and now it's us and this kid, and he wants to talk to us. Told us he was too afraid to talk to the police. He proceeds to tell us that 3 days ago, he was shooting pool (or something casual/chill like that, I forget) when he was abducted by 3 black males (go figure) at knife point. They threw him into the back of a van, and started accusing him of sleeping with one of their girlfriends. They then took him back to a house, where for 3 days he was kept bound and gagged, and was raped with inanimate objects the entire time he was held captive. He even described what they used, saying "pencils and whatever they found laying around". My thoughts: "ok, this case is getting way above my head."

I take photos of the kid, which is pretty SOP, noting his tattoos and any other identifying marks or signs of injury -- which in the case of the latter, were almost nil. We send him on his way to the hospital to get cleaned up and tested, and to the shrink to get his head checked out. None of us in the admin department knew what to think. Initially we were feeling "that poor bastard", but it turned into "maybe this kid is lying, wtf is up with what the cop told us before..."

After all the testing and evaluations he received, it was concluded, and he later admitted to, making the entire story up. He wanted to go see his girlfriend, didn't have any leave, knew command would not approve him randomly taking days off given that he had disappeared before, and decided to go for it. He tied all the restraints himself after stripping, and just waited for the cops to come. I processed his entire court martial, every spec of paper work for it, which as you could probably imagine, was an absolute fucking nightmare, and I was there when he was found guilty, and dishonorably discharged from the Marine Corps. I hated him so much for making me do the amount of work he made me do, but I had to maintain my professionalism the entire time with him. I asked him what he was going to do with himself, because getting a Dishonorable REALLY fucks up your career options. He told me he was going to be opening a restaurant or something like that. Ok cool, bye bye.

Fast forward to 2 or 3 years later, i'm browsing whatever porn site I was into at the time, maybe redtube or something, and I click on a link with some hot chick in the thumbnail. About 2 minutes into the porn she starts blowing this guy that just walked in, but couldnt see his face. Nice. The camera pans back a bit, and I see his arm, and see the tattoo I took photos of pre-court martial, post-police dropping him off. It keeps panning back, and I see PFC Douchechill's face. I immediately X'd out as fast as I possibly could, leaned back with my now flaccid dick hanging out, and said out loud, "that's the kid that got the pencils shoved in his ass".

TL;DR -- guy I served with in the Marines got dishonorably discharged, turned to porn.
