It's just that I feel like my home is an extension of my personal space and when people step into it, I feel, well, violated.

I feel the same way but haven't thought of it as a phobia before. In order for me to allow someone into my space, I have to know them very, very well, or I have to be having a party or something, before which, I can prepare myself emotionally for the invasion. I had no idea anyone else felt this way. Also, when I'm out, I am very out-going and friendly.
