I know the piece.... Might have a screen cap of it somewhere. Checking... EDIT: That didn't take long.

Yes! Ok, not really. Not at all actually. You just asked so nicely.

I think you did a great job with the shadows. I like the first one the best. Well done.

I love your selective use of color. I love the emotion. I love the illusion of chaos.

This is the kind of thing I would hang in my home.

The World As I See It by TEKSTartistin Art

You're not reading into it too much at all. For the background I wanted it to appear fuzzy or jumbled from a distance and (this was the hardest part) as uniform as possible up close.

I really tried to get the earth to 'pop' and make it apear 'solid'

All in all, you were spot on. Thanks for your interpretation and comment!

Thank you so much. The piece is actually composed entirely of the lyrics from Jason Mraz's song "The World as I see it". I repeated them, in their entirety, about 5 times.

Back in 1997 I won a can of SURGE after beating 11 other people in a SURGE themed obstacle course at the YMCA. I think my luck ran out the next day.

Thanks Ephemerall. I actually tried setting it as my wallpaper and it just looked terrible. It's not the size of the letters so much as the contrast. Icons get lost and the harsh black and white. If I were to fade the black a bit it might work, but not sure.

My last big painting project. Tell me what you think r/art by Haikuheathenin Art

I really, really like this. My only critique, and I really had to spend some time looking at it to determine what was just not sitting right- was her shadow. I sort of feel like the shadow should be pixelated along with the background, but after reading what the painting signifies I can see how since it is a part of her, it remained in focus. Overall well done.

I just finished this piece. Been working on the past few weeks. Every line in the piece is really a letter from a word from Jason Mraz's new song "The World As I See It". I know "word art" is nothing new, but I was really happy with how this turned out. Would love to hear your thoughts!

It all depends on how you set up your business (if you do at all), but I would fins a good local accountant and see what they suggest. Keep us posted!

Hey Reddit, I need to paint a composition using these colors. Any suggestions? (Details inside) by heemsterin Art

[–]TEKSTartist 0 points1 point ago

First thing that comes to mind would be a pirate ship on the open seas battling a sea monster. The blues, brown and black can be used for the ocean, sky and ship, while the yellow could be the sun, and the reds could be the monster. I'm thinking giant tentacles.

Looks like the swamp right out of Donkey Kong Country 2. (I mean that as a compliment)

New piece, let me know what you think! by wormpuddlein Art

[–]TEKSTartist 1 point2 points ago

I think, if it's anything, it's that the blur is inconsistent. Objects like the people and mast in the background should be less distorted than the clouds or boats in the far background.

The composition and colors are spot on, just tweak how it's distorted and I think it would be perfect.

I've seen your work on here before. That was a great time lapse. I'm curious- what medium did you use on the glass?
