I watched as many games as I could today (had five streams open at one point) and it was fantastic fun. These lower tier leagues are really stepping up.

I know it looks like hindsight, but I did honestly think LAG would lose. They've cared little about the USOC (at least in recent memory) and the Railhawks are a quality franchise. Combine that with LAG's sinking ship this season and I knew it'd happen.

As for the rest of the upsets... I was certainly surprised to see so many and in reality, all but one game were really close.

So I decided to look into this and it seems like Washington mirrors Oregon's model and an interesting factor is that it appears you need to already be on unemployment and are unlikely to find a job.

What if you're an engineer that can easily get a job, but still want to run your own business? I assume you're SOL.

I wondered how much safer the east side would be and compared crime stats on city-data.com. I was pretty shocked at how much safer; 7 murders in the 2000s decade compared to Seattle's 250+.
