Sorry to see your comment downvoted. I'm at peace with the reality that boundary maintenance is probably necessary for r/exmormon and r/lds to serve their respective communities, but it'd be nice if r/mormon could remain/become a place where we can disagree w/o being so darn disagreeable.

It's an interesting question. The Catholic approach is less muddled (but equally if not more problematic for moderns).

This belongs in education and education only.

Spare me your rectitude. It fits quite easily under r/Utah and r/atheism and plenty of other subreddits. And silly stuff that happens in the mormon cultural region of the US is entirely appropriate for this subreddit.
